***new on shorkk's shelves***
Since many customers had enquired about a chilli oil, we are delighted to say we have a new addition to the shorkk family.
Having tasted this chilli infused oil in Lebanon on a previous trip, we felt that this was the perfect oil for adding a little warmth to dishes. When you’re in need of an emergency chilli, all you need do is delve into the bottle!
shorkk markets in may
We’re looking forward to returning to Portishead Marina Eats Festival on Sunday 26th May from 10am – 4pm. With over 60 stalls lining the marina and harbour side, it’s a fun day out with plenty of tasty things to eat and buy. Bring your shopping bags (or buy a shorkk tote!) and stock up on lots of interesting goodies.

seasonal shorkk
Zejd’s pomegranate tapenade has become hugely popular at the markets to go to. Delicious with toast (one of our customers has it for breakfast!) it has a lot of flavour.
We’ve added a recipe for the tapenade using roasted aubergine as an alternative to toast. This simple dish would be a wonderful addition to a selection of mezze dishes now that the weather is warmer.
shorkk's donation for children in Shatila camp
On our recent trip to Lebanon we made our first visit to an NGO called Najdeh Association, based in Shatila camp, Beirut. They’re a secular organisation established in 1978 who support Palestinian women and children.
Thanks to our customers we were able to make a donation for the children who live in the camp.
