Although tote bags are ubiquitous, the shorkk tote is different. Co-owner of shorkk, Philippe, teamed up with the Tahaddi sewing workshop in Beirut, to design something robust with understated style.

donated fabric
Local fabric shops in Beirut have donated remnants to Tahaddi. The women in the workshop work on these bags and other commissions to earn an income.
sturdy yet soft
We asked the team to create something that could carry heavy things from the market – think 3L of Zejd’s extra virgin olive oil and Barbara Abdeni Massaad’s Mezze cookbook.
The shoulder straps are wide for comfort and strong enough to carry your market purchases. The bottom of the bag has a reinforced gusset for extra strength too. Remember to remove this before washing the bag.
