Having left Beirut at the end of December, our shipment finally arrived this week. We order small quantities and sadly our goods spend longer than we'd like in Rotterdam before heading to the UK.
The cost of transport and oil have meant that we've had to raise our prices. We hope you'll find these "not-on-a-supermarket-shelf" ingredients still competitively priced.
Luckily it wasn't raining on arrival day. With the help of our faithful guard dog, yet to learn the art of pushing a wheel barrow of boxes inside, all is now safely back on shorkk's shelves.

At the request of many of our customers, we're delighted to announce a new product on shorkk's shelves: a spicy chilli infused oil from Zejd.
Zejd's extra virgin olive oil is infused with locally grown, small red chillis. Having sampled it last year, we loved the warm heat it brought to soups, pasta dishes and pizzas.
Once finished, pull out the plastic top and enjoy using the preserved chillis in your cooking. A bonus from Lebanon!

We still have a few copies of this beautiful recipe book by Barbara Massaad. Not available elsewhere in the UK, it also makes a unique gift.
