Not just any apron
The stylishly elegant shorkk apron is our third project with the Tahaddi sewing workshop in Beirut. The cross-back design is made from the same fabric as the shorkk tote. With big pockets for a phone and a dishcloth, the back is adjustable to fit each cook individually. The aprons wash at 30 degrees.About the shorkk apron
an apron with a difference
We spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Our regular aprons, after a while end up giving us sore necks. So Philippe set about designing one with a cross-back. Without any pressure on your neck, the shorkk apron is comfortable and stylish to wear.
how do you put it on?
Hold the cross-back straps like a bag and place over your head, then pull your arms through.
If wearing it for the fist time, ask someone to move the adjustable fittings at the back to your size.
When you need to take the apron off, cross your arms, hold onto the fabric by your shoulder blades and lift over your head. It’s easier to do than to describe!!
washing instructions
The shorkk apron is made from robust cotton fabric and washes well at 30 degrees. Since the straps aren’t loose, they won’t get tangled up in the rest of your wash.
If you have a stain, rub with some olive oil soap before putting the apron in the washing machine. Sometimes we give it a quick iron – but then we quite like ironing!
a gift for a cook who cares
This is our second project with the Tahaddi sewing workshop. They made our shorkk tote from the same fabric in the second year of our business. Once our stock has gone, not only can we make a donation to the team to support the displaced community of women working there, but we can also order some more.
a gift for Christmas
We are donating 50% of the price of the apron to Tahaddi in Beirut. They contacted us to let us know that their situation has deteriorated significantly. With this money they can look after their community and respond to their urgent needs. For those who would like to make a donation without buying an apron, please contact us.
