Our new shipment from Beirut, which left at the end of December, has finally reached the UK. It should be delivered any day now.

Zejd's EVOO, sumac and pomegranate tapenade will be back on shorkk shelves shortly.

money for snacks

We're continuing our support for Najdeh Association. This month, we will be donating 10% of all sales.

They face a very uncertain future as a result of the withdrawl of funds to UNRWA. We hope the money will buy snacks and food for the children registered at Shatilla camp, Beirut.

As you probably know, the UK, as well as other countries, have withdrawn their funding from UNRWA.

This effectively means that there will be no support for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon from March.

mid week meal

A quick and easy salad made with bulgur wheat and a pomegranate molasses dressing. Use whatever herbs you have available. Best eaten room temperature, with some greek yoghurt alongside. It tastes as good as it looks!

leftover bread?

That last bit of bread in the bread bin needs a home. Cut it up, add a tablespoon of Zejd's EVOO to a frying pan and gently cook until the bread is golden. Scatter on some Bassatin Baanoub's za'atar mix, cook for a minute or two then scatter on your soup. Soup with style!
