5 good reasons to buy a 3L tin of Lebanese EVOO

  • the 3L tin is great value (works out at £7.50 per 500ml)
  • Prof Tim Spector recommends it for "cooking, baking and frying, even at high temperatures" in his book "Food for Life".
  • Zejd's EVOO tastes slightly peppery, not raspingly green, so it makes fantastic salad dressing
  • made from a variety of olive known as "souri", native to Lebanon.
  • so we can continue to support our Lebanese producer.

shorkk in the kitchen

chocolate cake anyone?

This is a treat of a cake and easy to make. Using extra virgin olive oil and ground almonds, with a touch of pomegranate molasses. It's dense, but not too rich. Delicious with autumn raspberries, a simple but impressive pudding. Any leftovers are the cook's perks the next day!
Zejd's pomegranate tapenade, a jar of instant flavour so handy for last minute meals, is back in stock.

For a grown up panna cotta,Lebanese saffron, cardamom and rose water revitalise this classic pudding with elegance and stye.
