things to be thankful for
Having spoken to our two producers and the organisations we support in Lebanon this week, we are humbled by their calmness.
They are grateful to be in relative safety with food in the fridge. While adjusting to the immense upheaval the Israeli strikes cause, there's a determination to carry on.

restocking premium EVOO
We tentatively asked House of Zejd if they would be able to supply us with more oil before Christmas. "If we move quickly" was Youssef Fares' reply.
Since the airport is still open, heroic Middle East Airlines are still flying and DHL are still working, we've put in an order. If you're interested in the Premium EVOO, let us know.

more za'atar
Yasmina told us that she had left a sample to be tested at the laboratory close to the airport, miraculously the building didn't get hit! Everyone was safe and the za'atar has its all important lab test.

Two days ago, I called a colleague whose home was completely flattened, the home she lived in, the one her parents bought after years of hard work—also gone. Sana, her parents, and her siblings, along with several other family members, had taken refuge, from the beginning of the strikes on their neighborhood, in a house belonging to an uncle in a village 30 minutes from Beirut... which was also hit a few days ago! What struck me was her faith: Al hamdullillah, she told me on the phone, thank be to God! My family and I are safe. Not a single complaint, just the quiet assurance that her relationship with God gives her. Yesterday evening, a terrible strike was launched in a very populated area where 3 of our staff live. They were in tears: they had been so frightened by the deafening sound of the missiles. They targeted 3 buildings, killed 22 innocent people, and injured many more. Will we see an end to this war?
